Fursuit Commission Process

  • ♡ 1 ♡ Initial Quote

    When commissions open, a Fursuit Commission Application will be shared to social media and our website. Applications will be open for a set amount of time, and once they close, chosen applicants will be contacted and given an initial quote in the form of a price estimate. This is not a final quote, and is not a binding agreement.

  • ♡ 2 ♡ Moving forward with a commission

    After receiving a quote, you can choose to schedule an appointment to discuss details such as design, timelines, and payment.

    These utilize Discord voice chat and screen sharing to show concept art which is edited in live time. This is a great time to ask questions about your commission!

    If you choose to move forward with a commission, you will be sent a final price estimate (and payment schedule, if applicable) within 3 business days.

    If that price is agreeable, you will be sent a contract detailing the commission, price, timeline, and any other important information. This contract will be emailed within 3 business days.

    After reviewing the contract, you will be required to include your name and address in the appropriate space(s) and return the signed copy. At this point, a 40%, non-refundable down payment is required to cover time spent, pay for materials, and secure your slot.

  • ♡ 3 ♡ Work begins

    After your signed contract and initial payment is received, we will work directly with you as we source materials for your commission. Please note that fur colors are limited, so color matching may not be exact!

    This is also the time to provide any detailed measurements, hand tracings, shoes, or DTD (Duct Tape Dummy) for your commission.

    As work on your commission progresses, you will receive updates and work in progress pictures, asked to confirm design choices, and allowed to influence particulars about the commission. We will work with you closely to ensure your fursuit is as satisfactory as possible. Telegram is our preferred way to send updates, but updates may also be sent over email or other social media if absolutely necessary.

    Should work be significantly halted, we will notify you as soon as possible about the situation and when work is expected to continue.

    Questions and comments are encouraged throughout the process. If you have concerns about the design, please mention them sooner rather than later! Please note that substantial changes later in the process (such as changing fur colors after materials are ordered) may incur a fee to cover cost.

  • ♡ 4 ♡ Completing, shipping, and receiving your commission

    Once your commission is completed and approved, final pictures will be taken for Mini Miau's website and social media. You may be provided links to these posts and/or tagged in them if you wish. The commission will then be packaged and mailed to you, and you will be provided any necessary shipping information.

    Customers must pay shipping. Please note that shipping costs are in flux and as such, estimates are only so accurate.

    Unboxing videos and pictures are always appreciated, as well as feedback and reviews. If you want to support Mini Miau, post pictures on your social media and tag us, or leave a review on fursuitreview.com once you have owned/worn the suit long enough.
